We will visit Kremlin complex, the ‘walled fortress’ of Russia that holds much of its history – the trophy weapons of the war of 1812, politics and religion. The Kremlin is the symbol of Russian statehood. The Moscow Kremlin is located in the very heart of the Russian capital. The walls, originally of white stone, were rebuilt in the late 15th century, in their distinctive red brick. Today, the Kremlin houses four cathedrals, three palaces and two museums – Kremlin open air museum and is the official residence of the Russian President. It holds many treasures of the former Czars. What was once the Kremlin’s Armoury Chamber, has been made into a museum of sorts. The Kremlin has always functioned as the administrative Center of Russia, and it still remains as such. Nowadays the residence of the President of the Russian Federation is situated on the Kremlin territory. In Kremlin we will also see Patriach’s Palace, Terem Palace and Cathedral Square, which houses many churches with exquisite golden domes. Later on we go to see the magnificent Russian Metro. The Moscow Metro is one of the most extensive mass transit systems in the world. It’s famous for the fine examples of social-realism which decorate many of its stations. On this tour we take you to some of Moscow’s most important and highly decorated stations. Carrying up to 7 million passengers a day and covering almost the entire city
Go underground on this guided tour to explore Moscow’s opulent metro system. Built with marble and granite and decorated with stained-glass windows, mural paintings, mosaics, and even sculptures, Moscow’s metro stations are dramatic settings for everyday life in the Russian capital. That is why the bridge was considered to be the main bridge at the time of opening. The bridge was named in honour of the Winter Palace, which is located in the immediate vicinity of it.
